Rogelio "Roger" V. Amante have a dream, and that is to help the urban poor, the street children, and the human rights victims on their prayer and aspirations. These dreams came true when he was installed as the Chairman of the Visayaswide Urban Poor Coordinating Council during the time of President Fidel V. Ramos. VWUPCC was under the auspices of the Presidential Comission for the Urban Poor (PCUP).
Extending the support to the recipients was collaborated also with the Commission on Human Rights.
After leaving VWUPCC, he continued his mission and organized the Confederation of RICODE Community Association, Inc. to give free legal assistance to the victims. The government's PCUP and The Poverty Alleviation program were not so active in helping such communities and did not purely addressed the need of these sectors, CRCAI assumed the giving of free legal services even though the sourcing of funds and its proceeds were too small as compared to the real needs of the said communities.
CRCAI's programs are still active and collaboration with the CHR is ongoing.
