WYNZDEL: Her favorite events in manila and cebu.

The author would like to commend Wynzdel on her endeavor by giving free technology on fashion accessories' making.  The picture was taken during her JS prom held in Montebello Villa Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines.......when she was still 15 years old.  This would be fun and exciting making money at home.  But she was excited more on her trips to manila, a sort of behavioral modification or something spiritual.

THE WINNING ATTITUDE OF A SUCCESSFUL STUDENT LEADER

I'm going to feature today a good looking young man who was able to overcome and succeeded in his term as a student body officer in San Carlos University, Cebu City despite all the odds he met in the nursing department.

I'd asked him why took up a nursing course and he replied that "he wanted to take care the people in the medical industry".  Obviously, he is planning to go abroad if he passes the so many board exams required by both local and international agencies.

I found out during conversations that at his young age, he was always chosen to be an officer and he loves it, serving without asking for a return.

About his schedules  of course sometimes late in going home as he has to settle first some needs in the school and his extra curricular activities.  It did not bother him and even not affected on his studies but instead he was more inspired to persevere to meet both ends.  He has good relationships with his family members and his sibling.

I'd asked about the economy and what can a nursing student contribute to it.  According to him, if given a chance to work abroad he will grab it so his dollar allotments can help defray the interest expenses of the government's  account  with the World Bank.

I really appreciate the conversations we have in their family's home.

This young man is also a part-time instructor in guitar playing in one of the institutions here in Cebu City.  His friends called him Carl.  His real name is Carl Michael Arreglo.  You can see him most of the time at the school campus.

These are some of the winning habits and attitudes of a successful student leader I'd discovered:

The author meets the founder

The author meets the founder of ABELLANA NATIONAL SCHOOL RESCUE GROUP and discusses the latter's activities for 2007.

April 14, 2007 - the rescue group will have their regular volunteers job in HABITAT at Dumlog, Talisay City, Cebu, Philippines.  They will be constructing houses made of bricks and the groups first task for this day is to make bricks then other development follows.

Again new designs by JAY R.  Natural inspirations just came up using geometric patterns with a little bit bold in colors.  The idea just exploded like a volcano erupting,  in the  mids  of  the  smoky  road  bio  diversity  plays  the big  role.

Recently,  studies shows that Philippines' seas has the highest bio diversity in the world.  It has more than 1,000 types of marine species, a very unique and can not be found anywhere else.

International organizations are now worried if this asset can be maintained by the experts and obviously local preservists can’t do it because of so many lapses,  be it politically or scientifically.

Economics in Philippines is growing but can it penetrate the masses in terms of alleviating their community status.  It turned out that most of the marine life became the livelihood of so many poor households.  What will happen next?  Of course shortage in food and natural marine habitat.  The latter was proven  to be interrelated to social and political status of the nation.  Well good luck for the success of preserving this world heritage.

It's never too late then, according to some exporters recycle the sea shells from some household.  Fashion accessories in Cebu must be aware of what was happening in the globe especially the oceans and seas.

FASHION ACCESSORIES: designed by Jay R

The abyss of our market might have no small players but the ingenuity and artistic character of an entrepreneur can survive in the less shining spot of the sea.  

I was able to get the approval of JAY R to exhibit her works so other organizations and business minded individual can get an idea how important is art in some indigenous materials to develop a product line. 

The model in this exhibit  is Ms. Cydtheresa Vito-Gabor, founder of Abellana National School Rescue Group that upon her request she dosn't  want to show  her face in all shows.

This would be the challenging part of asenso to provide an excellent demos and exhibits in less cost of production.  Who would think that some materials used were recycled?  So many requested that I should include other technologies for their livelihood and  I will try to cope with it.

Yes, to prosper is everybody's dream-and it's your dream, too.  A lot of people say it's getting harder and harder to earn and make money these days.  That might be true, but it all depends, if you change immediately for the better automatically you become resourceful and self-reliant person.

Jatropha: Is it working?

Last year was a very busy day for us doing the research on Jatropha.  Mr. Michael Arreglo who was on vacation from a world navigation was with me doing the task.  Bebe was excited too.  This was a job to be done immediately before Boy will leave Cebu for abroad.  I'd done my task and it's quite tiresome.  This was a 17 hectares farm from a 60 hectares proposed project.  Under the sun there is no barren land. Barren land is a product of a barren minds.  Plants need soil, water, air and minerals and it's true and everything is perfect and we have to appreciate it even if they will say it's a barren land.  Some countries already studied this specie and found out that it's good for biodiesel.  In our studies, we found out that only 60% will germinate from seeds.  But planting it using cut branches of Jatropha produces 100% new planting materials.  We are now adopting this technology and thanks to the family of Mr. Arreglo and himself who help me push through this project.  The top left picture is Mr. Arreglo with his sister-in-law Bebe.  The site is located in northern Cebu, Philippines.  The plan to expand will soon be materialized after this project's task are all accomplish.  Jatropha is resistant to drought and we are planning to plant it in mountainous area to help reforest northern cebu.  I am now preparing for the new requirements for the sustainability of the project's operations.

     My first exposure to be an entrepreneur was given by my mother Mrs. Visitacion Serencio, who encouraged me to start working in the family business at General Santos City, Philippines.

     My father Mr. Ernesto Serencio, who taught me in the farm chores and giving value of TIME specifically on the TIME OF PLANTING which will take 1 month and the TIME OF HARVEST which sometimes occur on the 3rd month up to 5 years depending on the type of plants to be planted.  It made me realize that the universal law isn't everything.  I have to appreciate, persevere and value time.

     Mr. Edgardo Aninon who exposed me to the techniques of acquiring good health and wealth that influenced me a lot in the way I think about entrepreneurship.  May he continue to touch people's lives with his down-to-earth approach in enlightening the thirsty minds to create good things for humanity. 

     Last but not certainly the least, my wife Jinky Rose, who put up with my presence and absence alike and whose help and support in the project ( and/or my other projects ) I could not have done without.
